Robert has been writing scripts for pantomimes and other genres for almost ten years. They have been performed all over the UK, Australia and the US by amateur and professional companies.
For the second year running Robert is providing the script for the Haven Holidays touring pantomime, after being script consultant for Aladdin in 2014 and writing Looking For Oz in 2015.
All of Robert's scripts are available for performance by amateur and professional companies. Take a look at what's on offer below and feel free to get in touch to request more information or a perusal copy.
Robert takes commissions throughout the year and would love to help you with your next project. If you would like Robert to write you a pantomime or comedy for one person or a cast of 100 get in touch! In the meantime, hear Robert's piece Summer Daze, written for Green Girl Productions' Month of Monologues project.
Robert's version of Aladdin is a fast paced and exciting script that has all the traditional characters, plus some modern twists.
Beauty and the Beast
Robert's version of Beauty and the Beast was commissioned for a production at the Stafford Gatehouse Theatre where it had a sell out run during Summer 2015. It's fun and cheeky, but with a real emotional heart.
Robert's version of Cinderella was commissioned for a production at the Geelong Performing Arts Centre in Australia. It has a large cast including three bears. Not real ones, of course... There is also a version with a smaller cast.
Dick Whittington is Robert's most popular script and has been performed around the UK and in Australia. It has a cast size that is perfect for giving everyone a moment in the spotlight and there's plenty of daftness too!
Puss in Boots is another commission and also a very rare title these days. Fourteen characters and ensemble tell the popular story of the cat that saves the day with lots of hilarious antics on the way.
Puss in Boots
Sleeping Beauty has always been one of Robert's favourite stories and here he combines it with song suggestions from some of his favourite singers from Aretha Franklin to the Supremes, alongside loads of traditional comedy!
A new version of the popular story that sees Dorothy and friends travelling around Oz. Big cast! Big heart! Big laughs!
The Wizard of Oz
Robert is a specialist in writing one-act small cast pantomimes suitable for nursing homes, after dinner entertainment, holiday parks and theatres! Currently available are Mother Goose, Aladdin, Jack and the Beanstalk, The Wizard of Oz and The Ugly Truth.
One Act Pantos
Not a pantomime but a one-act farce and murder mystery combined; specially commissioned to be performed by youth groups. Set at the turn of the 20th Century in a pub in London the cast of wild characters from policeman to music hall stars find themselves embroiled in a night of murder and mayhem! With the addition of some traditional music hall numbers! Fun for everyone!
